The Globe & Mail's Home of the Week

It was such an honour to have The Globe and Mail feature one of my listings as the Home of the Week. And even in the Internet age when anyone can be a social media star, it’s still a thrill to see my name in print and know that it was distributed to thousands of mailboxes and inboxes across the globe. Even though the home sold within a few days of listing and before this article was published, there are a couple of things I took away from having this exposure.

  1. The story of the homeowner is what really attracted the journalist and not the house or any of its features. This speaks to the power of stories about people instead of things. And that’s what my business is really all about. I don’t just sell big, expensive things; I create relationships with people and help them find a home and maybe an investment for their families and their futures.

  2. Regrettably, the journalist omitted the names of my co-listing agents, Jennifer Henderson and Johanna Speers from Royal LePage Royal City. It was a team effort to prepare and sell this house and I’m grateful for their professional collaboration.
